Deep Ellum Arts Festival
The 26th annual Deep Ellum Arts Festival® is the signature event of Downtown Dallas’ now affluent Deep Ellum residential neighborhood and entertainment district located within the shadows of downtown Dallas, Texas and along the modern light rail transportation systems connecting the DFW area. (The Texas Commission on the Arts (TCA) in September 2020 approved the designation of Deep Ellum as one of five official new cultural districts around the state) This well-established “free to attend” visual and performing arts Festival consistently draws tens of thousands of affluent, maturing, hip millennials (as well as long time attending gen xers and boomers) who come to purchase original “cutting-edge art” directly from juried artists and experience “original only music and performance art” who are also jury selected to showcase their unique sounds from 4 outdoor concert stages and indoor performances spaces. Public surveys have proclaimed this Festival as the “Best and Most Fun Arts and Music Festival in Dallas”. With the massive growth in the Deep Ellum neighborhood of new residences and upscale restaurants, our focus has been redirected towards fine art more than ever before. In addition, the Festival attracts thousands of tourists and conventioneers from nearby downtown Dallas hotels who seem to take advantage of Friday’s lunchtime Festival opportunities and free entertainment options throughout the weekend.
